44 LDA residences’ allotment cancelled


LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) cancelled on Wednesday 44 unlawful allotments of official residences.
The LDA took action in the light of the direction of the Supreme Court’s human rights cell, according to a spokesperson for the authority.
The spokesman said the action was taken in view of the violation of the merit regarding allotment of the official residences to the LDA employees. The allotments have been cancelled for the houses situated in Muslim Town, Shadman, Ghulab Devi, Johar Town, Iqbal Town, Jubilee Town, Gulshan-i-Ravi, Sabzazar, Green Town, Township (CIII, Chenab Block) and Garden Town.
