BISP corruption: AC summons PPP leader

ISLAMABAD: In a reference pertaining to corruption in Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), an accountability court on Monday summoned Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Farzana Raja on June 19.

Raja, a former chairwoman of the country’s largest flagship social safety net programme has repeatedly been skipping the accountability court hearings.

Raja is accused of granting contracts to four advertising agencies against the law, which caused a loss of Rs500 million to the national kitty.
