Citizen Report Card Study on Education District Layyah and District Jhang – Punjab

Date: 29 March to 1st April 2021

Transparency International Pakistan conducted a Citizen Report Card Study on education in district Layyah and district Jhang. The objective of the research is to take citizens’ feedback to analyze the impact of various government COVID-19 related decisions (such as the lock down, closure of schools, online education, and implementation of SOPs) on education particularly at primary and secondary level.

The data was collected between 29th March to 1st April 2021, and was monitored by TI Pakistan representative. Two hundred citizens from each of the two districts participated in the survey which is making the total sample size four hundred. From district Layyah, Tehsil Chobara and Tehsil Layyah were selected while from district Jhang, tehsil Athara Hazari, tehsil Ahmed Pur Sial and tehsil Jhang were selected.

Experienced enumerators collected the data. These enumerators were properly briefed about the scope and objectives of the survey before the data collection. TI Pakistan ensured that half of the participants should be females, therefore, experienced female enumerators were hired. These female enumerators have a vast experience of working at community level. The result of the CRC will be published in a separate report compiled after analyzing the data.
