ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Sunday conducted an anti-encroachment operation in F-6/1 and demolished several illegal constructions and encroachments.
According to the CDA, obstructions causing hindrance in pedestrian movement, barbed wire and fences erected around the premises, car sheds, parking and security apparatus, lawns and gardens established beyond plot lines were cleared.
The enforcement directorate dismantled several encroachments in Street 32, 33 and 39. Six iron grill fences, 18 guard rooms, three entrance gates, two dog centres and several other encroachments were removed.
The CDA had warned the residents to remove encroachments from footpaths, fences and barbed wire installed around buildings, car sheds/parking, generators and security apparatus.
During another operation, the enforcement directorate along with the capital administration dismantled seven sheds/containers, 13 security pots, 25 containers, two rooms and five tile factories established illegally on the greenbelt along Kashmir Highway.
