Man accuses police of implicating his son in fabricated cases

KOHAT: A man has accused the police of implicating his son in false drug smuggling cases and illegally handing him over to the Chakwal police in Punjab.
Muslim Khan of Muhammadzai accompanied by his grandmother told a news conference at the Kohat Press Club on Monday that he had been visiting the hujra of federal interior minister for several months but he had not even replied to his appeals to direct the IGP and district police officer to take notice of the matter.
He accused the cantonment police station’s former and current SHOs of implicating his son in false cases of drug smuggling. He explained that first his son was booked for carrying two kilogrammes of hashish, but later the sessions court had released him.
Now, he said the cantonment police SHO had got him arrested for possessing eight kilogrammes of hashish and handed him over to the Chakwal police.
He said his son was not wanted by the Chakwal police as there was no FIR registered against him.
He said earlier former cantonment police SHO Mohammad Ali had got his son kidnapped for a week and later they learnt that he had been nominated in a drug smuggling case. He said both he and his son were jobless.
Muslim Khan said in case anything happened to his son Kohat police would be responsible. He urged the IGP, DPO, and the interior minister to take cognisance of the matter.
