QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a reference against four retired officials of the Balochistan government for their alleged involvement in corruption.
According to NAB officials, an accountability court has issued notices to former executive engineer of Public Health Engineering Ghulam Sarwar, former deputy secretary of the finance department Qaim Lashari, two other government officials and contractor Abdul Ali.
Sources said that they were allegedly found involved in embezzlement of the funds meant for rehabilitation of flood victims.
NAB had initiated an enquiry against these retired officials on receiving several complaints from the flood victims who have not got funds approved by the government for their rehabilitation.
After completing the investigation, the sources said, the Balochistan NAB filed the reference in the accountability court.
