NAB to eliminate corruption by increasing efficiency

ISLAMABAD: Director Awareness and Prevention Wing, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Raza Khan Friday said NAB was striving hard to eliminate corruption by increasing efficiency, enhancing awareness and taking vigorous measures for strict implementing rules and regulations.
He was speaking as chief guest at a seminar titled “Accountability- A collective responsibility,” here at Islamabad Model School G-10/4.
Raza urged the society to help NAB to check irregularities, misuse of authority in the society.
He said the bureau had launched a campaign titling “Accountability- A collective responsibility” against corruption awareness in over 12 educational institution of the capital with the assistance of FDE to spread awareness among the new generation against the menace.
He said that corruption was the main problem of the Pakistan hindering over all development of the country. He urged all players of the society to play their role in eliminating the menace from the society.
NAB was determined to root out corruption with the active assistance of the youth.
He said that due to persistent efforts of NAB, transparency international ranked Pakistan 116 from 176 in 2016-17.
He suggested appointment of honest, dedicated, qualified and right persons and right place for eliminating corruption.
He said that media was the fourth pillar of the state and it had a very imperative role in building opinion of society against corruption, adding that hopefully media would play a positive role in that regard.
