PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company claimed to have recovered illegal electricity material worth millions of rupees during a surprise raid conducted in the University Model Town on the Nasir Bagh Road here.
According to a Pesco spokesman, sub-divisional officer, Warsak-2 subdivision, Khalid Khan along with Pesco teams and police conducted a raid in the town and found that 11KV lines of electricity were illegally installed there.
It was stated that nine 100KVA and one 200KVA transformers, 2,100 meters illegal conductor were recovered from a plot.
Moreover, the accused persons had also erected 10 illegal high transmission poles for this purpose where they provided two fake demand notices each of worth Rs1.6 million.
The confiscated transformers were shifted to Nasir Bagh police station, where FIR was registered against the accused.
