Training workshop "Fundraising for Non-Profit "

A training workshop was arranged for Transparency International Pakistan on "Fundraising for Non-Profit " by Civil Society Resource Centre on 11th and 12th October, 2011. The main purpose of this training was to equip the staff with the knowledge and tools to raise funds through different sources.
The trainers used different methods such as power point slides and activities to teach and engage the staff.

The two day workshop started with explaining

• What is fund raising?
• Why is it important to raise funds?
• What are the tools to needed to raise funds?
• Kinds of donors.
• How can a fund raising event be successful
• The oops’ and wow’s of fundraising and etc.

They also taught the importance of our donors and the way they can be thanked which is the most essential element of not only fund raising but also managing non government organizations. The day ending with an activity that gave new dimension to even simple initiatives.
The second day started with recalling the first day and the lessons learned and the difference between different events and how they can be useful in raising funds segmentation of donor was another point that drew attention.
The workshop ended with different exercises on fundraising and distribution of participation certificates.
