Advisor, TI-P, Syed Adil Gilani told the participants that according to a recent report, there are 30,000 ghost schools in Pakistan on which millions are spent every year. Justice (R) Haziq ul Khairi said that we need to emphasize more on deteriorating situation of government schools as poor send their children to these schools where they should be provided with quality education.
A resolution was passed in the meeting against illegal hike in private school fees. Participants said that private schools in the province of Sindh are charging 30 to 40% higher fees this year as compared to last year. This is in clear violation of the law and the government should take appropriate legal action against them.
