WORKSHOP ON PROPOSAL WRITING

A workshop was arranged on May 26, 2010 at Hotel Avari on the topic of Proposal Writing.  Mr. Qurban Ali Shah was the facilitator for the day. Transparency International Pakistan nominated its nine employees to attend the event.  

Workshop, scheduled from 9:00am – 5:00pm, began with an introduction of all attendees.  Mr. Shah started the discussion and proceeded in an interactive manner. The discussion was about the points which the donors look for in a project proposal.  He told about minor mistakes which at times result in the proposal rejection. Various confusions were cleared and misconceptions about different terminologies were also removed. Activities involving participants were also held in which two groups were formed to devise project goals, objectives and purpose using the tool of “Cause & Effect”.


Mr. Shah displayed different Project Proposals which were made using separate formats. He also briefed the audience about Logical Framework Analysis and its role in the preparation of Project Proposal. In the closing session the facilitator outlined the various points which should be covered in preparation of a Concept Paper as well as a Project Proposal.  The facilitator also provided a soft copy of his presentation as well as sample proposals prepared by him for other organizations.
All in all a highly informative session, came to an end at 5:00 pm.
