The 6th Prize Distribution Ceremony and exhibition of Poster Painting on Child’s View of Corruption was held at the Arts Council, Karachi on 27th October, 2009. The event, organized by Transparency International-Pakistan (TI-P), was sponsored by Swiss Agency for Development and USAID. The overall winners as well as the winners of the 20 participating schools and teachers attended the ceremony while the parents also joined in for the exhibition. The chief guest was Dr. N. I. Khowaja, Project Director, Transparency International Pakistan. Ms. Zareen Z. Qureshi, Asst. Project Coordinator, Mr. Umer Bin Qasim, Assistant Project Coordinator and Ms. Farah Mirza, Assistant Project Coordinator represented Transparency International-Pakistan. Mr. M. Imran Khan provided technical support.

The event started with recitation of Surah Fatiah by a student of The City School, Larkana. The inaugural speech was given by Dr. N. I. Khowaja. He gave a brief introduction of Transparency International-Pakistan and its activities to curb the increasing corruption in the country. He also advised the students to study the message in the Holy Quran and follow the path He has shown to provide solutions for all our problems.

After the speech the chief guest awarded the prizes and certificates to the Overall position holders and High Fliers of the competition. Further on, the exhibition was opened to the participants and refreshment provided to them.
