A workshop was held at the office of AMRDWO, New Saeedabad (close to Hala) on
10th July 2009. It was conducted by Nargis A. Mirza, Assistant Project Co-ordinator of Transparency International Pakistan.
It was attended by 30 persons comprising of the office bearers as well as the field staff. The majority of them were females.
Mr. Abdul Jabbar Chachhar, CEO of AMRDWO gave an introduction speech. Ms. Mirza spoke on corruption and the far reaching affects it has on everyone and the role Transparency International and Transparency International Pakistan are playing in it.
A question answer session took place in which the participants actively took part in it. Some of the points raised were:-

The consensus was that the message on anti-corruption has to be spread actively, the participants promising to take the first step in stopping corruption by active participation. As this will be a role model for others.
Mr. Chachhar proposed setting up a Voluntary Committee comprising of 3 office bearers and 3 mobilizers, who would meet once a month to discuss the outcome of the awareness program and what solutions, if any are have come up, how to solve them. They selected the members and the Committee has become operational immediately.
One of the participants wanted to know that if they would be reimbursed for the expense incurred by them. Mr. Chachhar proposed that he would have them picked and dropped when they attended the monthly meetings.
After that lunch was served.
