Annual Planning Meeting of Exchange Program between South Asian Chapters, organized by Transparency International Bangladesh in collaboration with FK Norway, was held from 5th to 7h April 2010 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The meeting was attended by Mr. Saad Rashid, Executive Director and Dr. N .I. Khowaja, Director Projects. Apart from Pakistan and Bangladesh, representatives from the national chapters of Srilanka, Nepal and Maldives also attended. The meeting was conducted by representatives of FK Norway.

 The objective of the meeting was to share and gain first hand experience of the program of research and policy initiatives in each other’s country and also reaches a greater mutual understanding between the neighboring countries in the spirit of SAARC.

The participants discussed in detail the first year’s experience of the exchange program among the member countries and on the basis of this experience planned and designed continuation of the program for the second year. In this plan it was also decided that a representative of Transparency International Bangladesh would be sent to Transparency International Pakistan to gain knowledge of the areas in which Transparency International Pakistan has developed expertise i.e. Public Procurement monitoring, Youth in Governance Activities and setting up of Complaint Centers.
