SALUTA protests against corruption, victimisation of teachers

KHAIRPUR: Shah Abdul Latif University Teachers’ Association (SALUTA) carried out a protest rally against corruption, nepotism, favouritism and victimization of teachers.
SALUTA President Dr. Ameer Ali Chandio addressed the participants of the protest rally and showed grave concerns over the victimization of teachers. He further condemned the victimization of teachers, specially, Assistant Professor, Syndicate member, Ishrat Ali Mirani who had been continuously targeted for raising voice against corruption. He also condemned the biased attitude of administration. He further said that the faculty at Shah Abdul Latif University had always been struggling against the partial attitude as well as ill-intentions of administration.
“We own our university and will always struggle for the prosperity of university. We warn the administration to stop such malignant attitude towards teaching community otherwise we will continue the protests until the baseless and illegal letters are not withdrawn,” announced Chandio.
The Joint secretary SALUTA Dr Hassam-u-Din Shaikh said that administration should not try to divide the teaching community. He urged the teaching community not to be pro-administration, but to show integrity and protect the teacher cause
