Sugar Miller Booked After Cheque Bounces


KASUR: Pattoki police on Sunday lodged a case against owner of a sugar mills after a cheque worth Rs591 million was dishonoured by the bank.

Reports said Mian Aslam of Pattoki Sugar Mills had given the cheque to the district administration as a guarantee for the payment to farmers on the orders of Supreme Court.

According to complainant Naib Tehsildar Muhammad Aslam, Mian Aslam was a defaulter for 2017-18 and 2018-19. The complainant had moved the court which ordered payment within one month. The court also ordered to give a cheque to the district administration as a guarantee.

Pattoki police registered a case against Aslam under section 489 F of PPC.

According to SHO City Pattoki Muhammad Aslam Bhatti, raids were being conducted for the arrest of the suspect.
